Cacharel Perfume

Cacharel is a clothing, perfume and fashion accessory brand. It was established in France in 1962 by Jean Bousquet, and named after a French Mediterranean bird.

In the 1960s, Jean Bousquet created a shirt for women that was both stylish and comfortable to wear. The design fitted the trends of the time, when women were experiencing more freedom, and the shirts became immensely popular, boosting Cacharel’s success.

The Cacharel style is centred on youthfulness, femininity and the use of bright colours. L’Oreal, the license holders of the Cacharel fragrance range, created Anaïs Anaïs, the first women’s fragrance for the brand, in 1978, keeping to the Cacharel ethos.
