Elizabeth Arden Perfume

Born Florence Nightingale Graham in Ontario, Canada, in 1878, Elizabeth Arden established her own company at the beginning of the 1900s. Her aim was to bring deluxe beauty creams to the public. With the help of a chemist in New York she achieved this, and moved to the American city.

Elizabeth Arden possessed very good business skills; soon the company was thriving, and stores were opened in America and Europe. The house was now producing cosmetics, skin care products and fine fragrances.

Elizabeth Arden died in 1966, and control of the company eventually passed to Unilever, then to FFI Fragrances in 2003. A collection of perfumes by stars and designers including Britney Spears, Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Sebastian also come under the Elizabeth Arden licence.
