Hugo Boss founded his fashion house in 1923 in Germany, but he died in 1948 before any exciting developments were to happen. The company continued steadily without him but it wasn’t until 1953 that Hugo Boss started to design men’s suits. Over the years the company has made an excellent name for itself within the fashion industry, and has risen to become a leading design house. Hugo Boss products are now sold in over 100 countries.
The house also produces accessories and footwear. In 1993 Hugo Boss launched itself into the fragrance market. This became an extremely profitable venture and many perfumes followed, all becoming top sellers.
